Canadian Museum of Nature – RBC Blue Water Gallery

Permanent Exhibition

The Canadian Museum of Nature (CMN) just finish renovating it’s historic home, the Victoria Memorial Museum Building (VMMB). In the course of this undertaking some of the museum’s permanent exhibitions were redeveloped including the introduction of a new permanent exhibition on the theme of water.

The new water gallery opened in May 2010 on the East side of the VMMB occupying approximately 8,000 square feet. It will have a minimum expected life span of 15 years.

Expographiq was selected to fabricate and install the exhibition structures to support it’s media and specimen displays as well as offer visitors amenities.

International Datacasting

The challenges for International Datacasting's new booth design which was to be unveiled at the NAB 2010 show being held in Las Vegas was to come up with a booth design that integrated all of client's equipment, leave floor space open for traffic, keeps the large flat 3D screens in highly visible locations at all times. Not only did the exhibit have to be appealing it had to have the versatility of fitting two very different show floor spaces. The space at NAB in Las Vegas was 20 x 30 Island. The client floor space reserved for International Datacasting attending IBC in Amsterdam was 10m x 7m Peninsula. Elements of the exhibit also had to used for the smaller 10 x 20 configuration at smaller shows.

Our proposed solution met all budgetary concerns, satisfied many different footprints and provided our client with an exciting new design they could be proud of.
